When you accidentally assert power over someone or something, one of two things will happen: 1) you will be respected; or 2) you will be hated

About This Quote

This is an interesting quote. It can be interpreted in many ways. The first way is to say that when you accidentally assert power over someone or something, you will be respected. The second way is that when you accidentally assert power over someone or something, one of two things will happen: 1) you will be respected; or 2) you will be hated.

I would argue that it really depends on how you assert your power or try to assert your power. For example, if I am driving and my wife says something to me, and I don’t say anything back, she might think nothing of it. But if I yell at her, she might not only think nothing of it but might actually feel attacked by me.
